Event Information

Walk to Cure Arthritis is the Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide signature event that unites communities across the country to put an end to arthritis. We aren't just helping the millions of people with arthritis to live better; we're charting the course to a cure.

Iron Hill Park is located within 4 miles of Glasgow Park and is only an 8 minute drive.

Directions
Directions from I-95
Take exit 1A onto DE-896 S
Turn right onto S Old Baltimore Pike
Iron Hill Park will come up on your right
Turn right onto the main park road and continue past the Iron Hill Museum to where the park road ends at the Pavilion Area.
Parking is next to the Pavilion area as well as an overflow lot.
There will be directional arrows in the park to guide you along the main road.

  • 9:30 a.m. - On-site Registration/Participant Check-In Open, Fun activities for kids (and adults of all ages), Make and trade friendship bracelets with arthritis warriors and other walkers, Rock Painting, Corn Hole, and Much More!
  • 10:30 a.m. - Strut Your Mutt Contest - View Details
  • 10:45 a.m. - Official Pre-Walk Program
  • 11:00 a.m. - Walk Steps Off (1 mile & 3 mile walk loops) & Walk festivities continue at the start/finish area
  • 11:45 a.m. - Retirement Celebration for Dr. Leo Raisis, 2024 Walk to Cure Arthritis Medical Honoree  & enjoy healthy snacks and cupcakes as we help celebrate Dr. Raisis’ amazing career and help him kick-off his retirement!
  • 12:30 p.m. - Walk to Cure Arthritis Festivities conclude

Volunteer

We need enthusiastic people to help with event set-up and breakdown, registration, handing out t-shirts, and providing information to walkers. Register and choose Volunteer as your participant type.

Doggie Honoree Nominees Needed

Dogs get arthritis, too! Nominate your dog to be our 2024 Doggie Honoree. You can nominate your dog if they have arthritis or if they are the loyal companion for someone living with arthritis. Nominations are due by March 31. View details

Team Incentive

Celebrate with your team at the Walk to Cure Arthritis. Your team can earn a special team tent in the Team Village by registering and raising $5,000 or more. View Details
